Students

At PC AGE, you will receive high quality career services to help you get an exciting career in the Information Technology field. We have a dedicated and competent staff who can assist you in preparing for successful job interviews with effective resumes, modern job search strategies, and a professional image. We also put you in touch with employers and job openings with the technical skills and IT certifications you acquire. As a PC AGE student, you can be sure to receive individual attention that will enable you to land the job you deserve.

What do employers say? Employers consider our graduates to be "well prepared" not only technically, but also professionally to be hired by companies such as Verizon, ADP, Standard and Poors, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Telex, MARS, Associated Press, and more.

How? At PC AGE preparation is key and it starts with our first course. With each main course we teach, there is a companion course that focuses on two career objectives:

  • Train students for a technical interview by asking and explaining hundreds of questions that will also prepare them for related Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco certification exams.
  • Ensure students are ready to do the job by working on real world projects and all possible scenarios as independently as possible.

PC AGE career services staff and instructors work closely to give students an advantage in the classroom and one-on-one. Included in the curriculum is a career training workshop where you will learn everything you need to know to smoothly transition into employment:

Resume and Online Profile − A resume and cover letter needs to reflect your personality and professional strengths. It must emphasize your technical skills as well as your unique "transferable skills." Our career services staff has the experience to help students develop the kind of resumes and online professional image that will help generate interviews.

Job Search Techniques − Since many jobs are not advertised, students are taught how to find IT opportunities using multiple resources simultaneously, including online and social media tools to help them get noticed by employers and bring unadvertised jobs to them.

Technical Interview Preparation − During an interview, it is important to know how to verbally communicate your knowledge and skills by answering questions about yourself and asking the right questions. We teach students how to describe themselves with ease through role plays and coaching. Students fine tune their skills during a technical mock interview to make sure they can express all their abilities on their resume with confidence.
